Third Floor Collections
The third floor houses the Bound Periodicals Collection and the print Government Documents. The Bound Periodicals starts in the open shelving and ends in compact shelving. The Government Documents Collection is in compact shelving. The Bound Periodicals cannot be checked out. However, you can:
Option 1: Make copies with your phone or at the Front Desk copy area. Please leave materials on a re-shelving cart when you are finished.
Option 2: Request a scanned copy of the article you need. See Request Scan
Locate Bound Periodicals on the Shelf
The Bound Periodicals collection starts near the main stairs and ends in compact shelving. The last section is locked. Please ask for assistance at the Front Desk or call 507.457.5151

Access Compact Shelving
To access a book or bound periodical on a closed compact shelf, turn the crank on the side of the shelf to create an open aisle. The system is designed so one crank moves several shelves at once. Ask at the Front Desk for assistance.
