You will need to create a separate NYT account using your WSU email. After you create an account, you will be issued a pass. This pass is automatically associated with your new account. It will work on the website and the apps, on or off campus.

New Account Set-up (on campus)

  1. Open the New York Times (Institutional Subscription) from our Databases A-Z page.
  2. Create an account using your StarID@minnstate.edu or StarID@go.minnstate.edu as your email address and follow the prompts.
  3. After you have created an account, you can open the NYT on your mobile devices and via the App. In fact, direct access to the website/app tends to have fewer issues.

Log-in to the Website

Once you have created an NYT account, you can log-in directly to the NYT website.

  1. Find LOG IN in the upper right corner.
  2. Log-in with your NYT account using your StarID@go.minnstate.edu or StarID@.minnstate.edu
  3. Use the password you created for the NYT account; this is NOT tied to your WSU StarID account.
