Q. Why is Interlibrary Loan blocked for some journals?

Answer

Because of the extremely high copyright charges for articles from American Scientific Publishers, the Interlibrary Loan department will submit ILL/Resource Sharing requests to this publisher only after consultation with the person who requested the article.

The copyright charge for most articles from other publishers is generally between $20 and $40 for the entire article. The copyright charges for publications from American Scientific Publishers are $100 per page.

ILL requests for articles from these journals will be submitted after consultation with the Interlibrary Loan Unit, Susan Byom, sbyom@winona.edu (507)-457-5139
